A while back a friend of mine was at a conference in Los Angeles.
While he was there, a really multi-millionaire got up to speak about
what it was like when he first started out in business.
He talked about how scared he was when he was first getting his business off the ground. He worried about what people would think of him. He was worried he’d never succeed like he wanted to.
But here’s the kicker.
He said that even after making millions of dollars, he still get scared.
Almost every single day.
He talked about how the fear never really goes away. And so it’s better to just get started, even when you don’t feel ready. Because if you just wait until everything is perfect, you’ll just end up waiting for a really long time.
Plus, confidence comes from experience. From trying, even if you’re not that good at first.
There’s a guy named Garrett White who runs a workshop for married businessmen who says it perfectly. “When you start something new, you’re gonna suck. But when you keep trying, you’ll eventually start to suck less. Until finally you’ll suck so little that you’ll actually be good.”
So even if you’re not confident in your skills today, that’s okay. You can get better!
One last thing:
Humans are the most adaptable species on the planet. From the moment we’re born, we’re constantly learning and adapting to grow.
That means even if you’re just an “average” person, you’re still more adaptable than any other species in the WORLD.
You can succeed at this, or anything you choose to.
